PDK Engineer (Mixed-Signal ASIC)

TL;DR

PDK Engineer (Mixed-Signal ASIC): Developing and integrating technology files, models, and physical verification decks for high-performance mixed-signal ASICs with an accent on EDA methodology, automation, and support. Focus on collaborating with design teams and foundries, qualifying physical verification decks, and customizing analog/mixed-signal environments.

Location: Hybrid in Austin, Texas, Greensboro, North Carolina, or Phoenix, Arizona. Candidates must be able to access technical data without a requirement for an export license, and sponsorship for export licenses is not available.

What you will do

• Work closely with design & layout teams to support tape out of IC designs.
• Develop and qualify physical verification decks.
• Install, customize, and test foundry PDKs.
• Customize and test our analog/mixed-signal environment.
• Support IC tape out methodology.
• Mentor other PDK Engineers.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 12+ years of experience or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 10+ years of experience in related CAD field.
• A strong understanding of front-to-back analog/mixed-signal design methodology.
• Strong experience on DRC, LVS, and parasitic extraction flow (Calibre is a plus).
• Experience with PDK installation, customization, QA, development, and validation.
• Ability to effectively support layout & design teams.
• Demonstrate programming knowledge in Perl, SKILL, Tcl, Python, and/or shell scripting.
• Expertise in developing Cadence dfII technology files, netlisting, simulation & Pcells OR development of physical verification decks in Calibre DRC.

Nice to have

• Experience working with revision control systems (Perforce a plus).
• Familiarity with Calibre PERC and/or Insight.
• Familiarity with EM/EMIR methodology.
