What you will do
- Conduct device-level failure analysis to support customer returns, product qualifications, yield excursions, and new product development.
- Perform electrical and physical fault isolation to identify root causes of failure.
- Generate detailed technical reports summarizing failure analysis findings.
- Evaluate and integrate new tools and methodologies into the failure analysis workflow.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with at least 6 years of hands-on experience in IC failure analysis.
- Proficiency in electrical fault isolation techniques including photo-emission, static and dynamic laser stimulation, LVx, scan diagnostics, ATE, thermal imaging, nanoprobing, and bench testing.
- Strong understanding of CAD layout, ATE and bench test datalogs, digital and analog circuit design, device physics, IC fabrication and packaging.
- Familiarity with common IC failure mechanisms and qualification stress methods.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience with physical failure analysis tools and techniques such as SEM, FIB, EDS, AFM, planar delayering, chemical deprocessing, chemical decoration.
