What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and operate robust and scalable back-end systems using existing in-house technology.
• Find and adopt the best solutions and tools for technological challenges, including managing migrations of legacy systems.
• Participate in team activities to develop new concepts for game modes, promotional campaigns, temporary events, and in-game content.
• Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary agile Scrum development team.
• Proactively address opportunities by supporting new feature development and resolving bugs and limitations within internal systems.

Requirements

• Prior professional experience in software development for networked back-end/server systems in a UNIX/Linux/POSIX environment.
• Experience with one or more of C, C++, Java, Go (Golang), Erlang, Elixir, or PHP.
• Experience managing high-capacity web servers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills through analytical, systematical, or intuitive approaches.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud infrastructure design and operation (e.g., Chef, Packer, Cloudformation, AWS).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with dependency management systems for PHP (Composer, PSR-0 or PSR-4).
• Experience with caching engines (Memcached, Redis).
