What you will do

  • Independently create high-quality character performances and compelling narrative shots using MotionBuilder and Maya.
  • Handle post-processing of motion capture data, including cleaning, editing, and dynamic adjustment.
  • Collaborate directly with directors, actors, and technical teams on-set motion capture direction.
  • Master Unreal Engine and its Sequencer toolset for creating and integrating cutscenes.
  • Convey character emotions effectively through deep understanding of character expression and facial animation.
  • Drive the animation process independently with a solid sense of cinematography and narrative pacing.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in MotionBuilder and Maya.
  • Minimum 8 years of practical experience creating cutscenes for films or AAA games.
  • A strong demo reel/portfolio demonstrating relevant experience.
  • Experience in on-set motion capture direction.
  • Mastery of Unreal Engine and its Sequencer toolset.
  • Experience processing facial motion capture data.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Metahuman facial animation.
  • Background in Previs/Layout production.
  • Capability to handle some in-game animations, such as character abilities or execution moves.
  • Experience creating combat/melee action animations with familiarity in martial arts principles.
  • Experience designing and animating non-humanoid creatures/monsters.
