Salary: £44,910 - £58,810 per annum

What you will do

• Develop, optimize, and maintain Java backend services using internal framework components.
• Work on data pipelines for various sports operations (e.g., American football, ice hockey).
• Deploy and scale applications in AWS (Lambda, S3, Apache Flink).
• Implement event-driven architectures.
• Collaborate with other engineers on high-impact projects.
• Ensure system reliability and performance in real-time, high-traffic environments.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Java (preferably Java 11 or later).
• Experience with AWS.
• Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry).
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Understanding of monitoring, logging, and traceability.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
• Experience with stream-processing concepts (Flink, Spark, Kafka Streams).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (GitHub Actions, Terraform).
• Exposure to real-time data processing and sports tech.
