TL;DR

HR Generalist (Gaming): Managing the full employee lifecycle, from talent acquisition and onboarding to employee relations and compliance, with an accent on fostering a collaborative studio culture and supporting team growth. Focus on ensuring compliance with federal and provincial employment laws, streamlining HR processes, and handling sensitive employee inquiries with discretion.

Location: Hybrid, 2-3 days per week in the Montreal office, Quebec, Canada

What you will do

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, from sourcing candidates to offer negotiation.
  • Oversee comprehensive onboarding and offboarding processes for team members.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all HR-related inquiries and support employee relations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial employment laws and maintain HR documentation.
  • Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing, employee benefits programs, and workforce planning.
  • Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of progressive HR generalist experience.
  • Experience in technology, gaming, or creative industries.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and provincial employment legislation.
  • Bilingual proficiency (French and English) - written and verbal.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with US labour standards.
