Senior Web Infrastructure Engineer: Leads the web development process and builds products from inception to deployment, solving challenges on a high-performance web trading product. With an accent on owning large-scale infrastructure projects, building and maintaining performant tooling for CI/CD and build systems, and optimizing web platform performance. Focus on reducing developer friction, increasing engineering productivity, and supporting web development at scale.
Location: This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA, or Toronto, ON office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.
Salary: $187,000 - $220,000 USD (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC) or $145,000 - $170,000 CAD (Toronto, ON).

What you will do
- Own and deliver medium to large-scale infrastructure projects that support and scale web development.
- Build and maintain performant, reliable tooling for CI/CD, build systems (e.g., Bazel), and local development environments.
- Partner with product engineering teams to identify and resolve frontend infrastructure bottlenecks.
- Optimize the performance, stability, and observability of the web platform and deployment pipeline.
- Drive initiatives that improve developer velocity and satisfaction across the engineering organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in web development with a focus on infrastructure, tooling, or platform engineering.
- Strong programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, and at least one other language.
- Experience working on or closely with frontend infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, build systems, or internal tools.
- Demonstrated ability to reduce developer friction and increase engineering productivity through technical solutions.
- Comfortable working in complex developer ecosystems with hundreds of developers as stakeholders (experience with Bazel or similar build tools is a plus).
- A mindset for building meta-level systems and tools that make other engineers more effective.
