TL;DR

Software Engineering Intern (Embedded): Developing software solutions for the verification of leading-edge hardware System On Chip (SoC) products with an accent on functional and system test development, execution, and debugging. Location: Onsite in Kanata/Ottawa, Canada

What you will do

  • Develop software solutions for hardware System On Chip (SoC) product verification.
  • Develop, execute, and debug functional and system tests to validate hardware design and performance.
  • Collaborate with IC Design and System architects to develop test plans.

Requirements

  • Available for a 4, 8, or 12-month work term.
  • Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Software, Computer, or Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Strong knowledge of C/C++ and object-oriented programming.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities with a focus on quality.
  • Ability to communicate in English and work effectively in a team.

Nice to have

  • Good knowledge of Unix/Linux and Perl.
  • Knowledge of FPGA, System Verilog, or other verification languages/simulators.
  • Student work experience in hardware design or verification environment.
  • Knowledge of digital design verification including test environment implementation and test plan development.
  • Familiarity with L2 and L3 networking protocols (e.g., Eth/IP/TCP/UDP).
