TL;DR

Digital Logic Design Engineering Student (Networking): Architecting, developing, and implementing breakthrough Ethernet/networking IP for next-generation SoCs with an accent on implementing complicated algorithms in hardware/silicon and incorporating IEEE Time Sensitive Networking (TSN). Focus on analyzing architecture design tradeoffs, developing scalable micro-architectures, and ensuring high-quality, implementation-ready IP.

Location: Onsite in Kanata/Ottawa, Canada

What you will do

  • Contribute to architecture, design, and implementation of Ethernet/networking IP for next-gen SoCs.
  • Assist with micro-architecture, Verilog RTL implementation, logic synthesis, and timing closure.
  • Perform front-end to back-end IP quality checks (Lint/CDC/Synthesis/STA/LEC).
  • Contribute to IP design verification planning and execution to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Create quality documentation for all project phases, including IP functional and implementation specifications.
  • Proactively drive continuous improvement in design methodology.

Requirements

  • Working on Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Software, or Computer Engineering.
  • Ability to solve problems.
  • Strong interest in hardware design and/or verification.
  • Focus on quality of results with proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills in English.

Nice to have

  • Student work experience in hardware design or verification.
  • Knowledge in Verilog RTL design, logic synthesis, coverage analysis, and timing closure.
  • Knowledge of state-of-the-art networking technologies including TCP/IP protocols.
  • Experience with data products such as routers, bridges, and switches.
  • Good knowledge of Unix/Linux, Perl.
