What you will do
- Develop and implement risk management frameworks for sports gaming operations, monitoring exposure and reducing potential financial losses.
- Oversee pricing, market-making, trading limits, and daily trading operations in volatile market conditions.
- Build and use analytics and modeling techniques to assess market trends, customer behavior, and risk patterns.
- Lead, mentor, and develop risk analysts and traders while promoting continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and technology teams, and communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Research sports gaming trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activity to improve trading and risk practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of risk management experience in sports betting or a related field, including sportsbook or fantasy sports risk and trading strategy development.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to make rapid, informed decisions.
- Deep knowledge of sports betting markets, betting lines, odds, and pricing models.
- Familiarity with sports data feeds, statistical models, and analytics tools.
- Experience with exposure limits, hedging, diversification, and other risk management techniques.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field is preferred; strong communication and leadership skills are required.
