What you will do

• Lead the implementation of privacy by design across hirify.global’s technology stack, embedding privacy controls into system architecture and data flows.
• Translate global privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) into technical requirements and reusable design patterns.
• Conduct Technical Privacy Reviews, including Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), performing full-stack data lineage tracing.
• Develop and recommend best-case implementation scenarios to achieve compliance, including architectural alternatives and de-identification strategies.
• Contribute to the development of privacy tooling, automation, and governance frameworks that scale across the enterprise.
• Mentor technical teams, contribute to internal training, and advocate for ethical data stewardship, staying ahead of emerging privacy technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in software architecture, engineering, or technical program management, with experience producing architecture diagrams for complex distributed systems and cloud environments.
• Demonstrated experience designing or implementing privacy-preserving systems or features and identifying privacy and security risks.
• Strong understanding of global privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and their technical implications.
• Experience designing technical mitigation strategies tied to PIA/DPIA findings such as architectural refactoring and data flow minimization.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CIPT, CIPP/US, CIPP/E, or Lead Implementer (expected to obtain within 3-6 months).
• Additional technical certifications in data architecture, cloud architecture, or data engineering (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect).
