What you will do

• Gather functional requirements, develop technical specifications, and plan projects/tests.
• Design and develop prototypes or proofs of concepts (PoC’s).
• Drive backend architecture that optimizes for scalability, availability, and rapid experimentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and apply technical expertise to challenging programming and design problems.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of the project.
• Build and maintain common components used by multiple teams.

Requirements

• MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
• Solid hands-on experience building large and complex highly available, highly scalable, low latency distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience building ML inference infrastructure systems.
• 8+ years of programming experience using Java, Node, REST, and Spring.
• Strong understanding of the Software design/architecture process.
• Experience with unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Strong database fundamentals including SQL & NoSQL (Cassandra), performance, and schema design.
• Experience with various offerings from AWS (S3, EC2, EMR, ELB/ALB).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipeline design and management (Jenkins, Maven, Gradle).
• English: B2 required for effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
