Product Manager (Fintech)

Location: Onsite in New York, New York and must be based in our New York City Office

Salary: $127,000 - $160,000 per year

What you will do

• Drive the roadmap for one or more pods focused on Payroll and Tax, balancing customer and internal platform needs.
• Scope, prioritize, and execute projects, from research-backed case development to successful delivery.
• Partner deeply with Design and Engineering peers, organizing and leading effective team processes.
• Conduct interviews with customers and end users to understand pain points around tax filing, reporting, and communications.
• Demonstrate expertise in the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) and effectively tie insights to roadmap outcomes.
• Manage stakeholder expectations by communicating engineering concepts, concerns, and tradeoffs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of product management experience in a modern technology business.
• Comprehensive understanding and demonstrated success mastering the PDLC.
• Experience leading complex, cross-team initiatives from ideation to execution.
• Experience leading technical products and/or a background in computer science (or similar).
• Track record of shipping continuous product improvements to an existing product portfolio at-scale.
• Proven ability to manage high-stakes delivery cycles and execute effectively under tight timelines.

Nice to have

• Experience owning internal tooling or backend-heavy product areas, especially for mission-critical operations.
• Experience at high-growth companies, in a founder or GM capacity.
• Experience building products in a highly regulated domain (e.g., payroll, tax, fintech, or healthcare).
