What you will do

• Architect and build core backend services, APIs, and data layers that power the core user experience.
• Partner with product, design, and data teams to define and deliver features from concept to production.
• Design secure and observable systems capable of supporting rapid user growth and evolving service boundaries.
• Contribute across the stack, including React, to ensure a seamless end-user experience.
• Drive CI/CD and infrastructure automation, leveraging and experimenting with AI-assisted coding tools.
• Help evolve the technical architecture with strong opinions on modular design and modern API standards.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional engineering experience within startup environments.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript with a proven track record of building robust APIs and services.
• Proficiency with modern databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), data modeling, and performance optimization.
• Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., React, modern JS) and the ability to move across the stack when needed.
• Comfortable with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, serverless, or containers) and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• A history of using, customizing, and integrating AI coding tools in production workflows.
