Kubernetes Platform Engineer (AWS)

Kubernetes Platform Engineer (AWS): Responsible for provisioning, maintaining, and improving the Kubernetes platform on AWS, which includes over 50 clusters hosting multiple production workloads. Focus on delivering an enterprise-grade Kubernetes platform by ensuring compute resources, policy management, security integrations, and operational metrics are available, enabling engineers to develop microservices.

Salary: €3,908 - €5,583 based on 40 hours per week depending on your knowledge and experience

What you will do

• Enable the business to focus on developing microservices.
• Deliver advanced hosting solutions based on Kubernetes on AWS.
• Develop add-ons within the Kubernetes platform using GitOps processes and tools.
• Be operationally responsible for the smooth sailing of the platform.
• Reduce the price per container by applying smart design principles to minimize costs.

Requirements

• Approximately 4 years of experience with Kubernetes, particularly on EKS.
• AWS cloud knowledge and experience (Networking, PaaS, IaaS, IAM).
• Experience with GitOps deployment management.
• Experience with AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK).
• Skilled in writing TypeScript code.
• Strong communication (at least English), analytical and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with popular CNCF technologies (e.g. ArgoCD, Crossplane, Kyverno, Grafana, etc.).
• Basic experience in Linux and CI/CD.
• Ability to think about system and platform designs at scale.
• Being CKA or CKAD certified is a big plus.
