Software Engineer in Test (SaaS)

Location: This role is open to candidates residing in Romania and able to commute weekly to our office in Bucharest.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright.
• Write and execute manual test cases; validate product functionality across browsers, Windows, Mac, and network configurations.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to refine requirements and test strategies.
• Build and manage test environments and virtual labs to simulate real-world scenarios.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests and feedback loops.
• Recommend new testing tools, strategies, or frameworks that increase test coverage and efficiency.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in software testing or quality engineering, ideally in a SaaS environment.
• Hands-on experience with test automation using Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.
• Experience designing and executing performance tests (load, stress, scalability).
• Strong scripting and debugging skills in JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with Windows OS, including endpoint configurations, services, permissions, and networking.
• Experience working with bug tracking and test case management tools (e.g., Linear, Jira), CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile workflows (Scrum/Kanban).
• Must reside in Romania and be able to commute weekly to our office in Bucharest.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global Detect or other Vulnerability Management Platforms.
