Solution Architect (Fintech)

Solution Architect (Fintech): Supporting the design and implementation of Engine's SaaS banking technology for global clients with an accent on technical deep dives, client solution design, and product roadmap contribution. Focus on translating client needs into technical requirements, ensuring seamless integrations, and championing the platform's capabilities to technical and non-technical audiences.

Location: Hybrid, must be located within a commutable distance of London, UK. Requires travel around Europe and occasional further international travel.

What you will do

• Explain Engine's technology and architecture to clients, uncover requirements, and support solution design.
• Lead technical designs during the Engine implementation phase, building relationships with clients and SI partners.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to fulfill client requirements and shape Engine's product roadmap.
• Champion existing clients, ensuring their ongoing success, troubleshooting technical issues, and architecting innovative solutions.
• Provide expert guidance to client engineering teams using documentation, API specs, and sequence diagrams.

Requirements

• Experience with end-to-end software engineering/solution architecture across the software delivery lifecycle.
• Experience in software service design and integration (RESTful APIs, OpenAPI specification, sequence diagrams).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and large-scale cloud applications.
• Experience in a client-facing role, building stakeholder relationships.
• Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills for complex messaging.
• Comfortable traveling nationally to the London office and internationally for client sites.

Nice to have

• Experience in retail or business banking, core banking, card processing, or payments.
• Experience with delivery and implementation of core banking or large-scale digital transformation.
• Commercial acumen in building business cases.
• Experience in a SaaS organization in a Client Solutions or Client Engineering role.
• Knowledge of financial regulations.
