What you will do

• Design and execute polling and public opinion programmes, including methodology, questionnaire, and sampling.
• Innovate on polling methodology, testing new approaches and exploring synthetic data augmentation.
• Analyze and report findings clearly for internal teams, partners, and media audiences.
• Act as a public face for hirify.global's research, providing expert commentary and representing the company.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Design teams to build polling infrastructure and data visualizations.
• Manage external relationships with PR partners and media contacts to maximize work impact.
• Contribute to wider research projects in data quality, representativeness, and external collaborations.

Requirements

• Masters degree or higher in political science, survey methodology, statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong technical knowledge of polling methodologies (raking, post-stratification, MRP) and ability to implement them in code.
• 2+ years experience delivering public opinion research outside of academia.
• An ideas-focused thinker able to tackle novel methods and innovative concepts.
• Familiarity with the practicalities of online panel research, including trade-offs in non-probability sampling.
• Solid understanding of the UK and US polling landscape.
• Comfortable operating autonomously and building something from the ground up.
• Confident communicator able to translate complex methodology for non-technical audiences.
• Genuine curiosity about research beyond polling (data quality, synthetic data, representativeness).

Nice to have

• Research interest in adjacent questions around data quality, synthetic data, or representativeness.
• Experience working with BPC, AAPOR, or similar professional organisations.
• Track record of publishing methodology pieces, thought leadership, or public-facing analysis.
• Experience as a media spokesperson or comfort with on-the-record commentary.
