MLOps Engineer (AI)

TL;DR

Senior MLOps Engineer (AI): Responsible for productionizing ML models and building robust, automated pipelines to support millions of users with an accent on continuous training and automated model serving. Focus on establishing ML model lifecycle standards, data quality gates, and model quality gates.

Location: Hybrid (Kaunas or Vilnius, Lithuania), with a recommended 2 days in the office.

Salary: €6,375-€8,625 gross per month.

What you will do

• Productionize ML models by migrating existing model training code to robust and automated pipelines.
• Build continuous training (CT) pipelines for data preparation, model training, and batch scoring.
• Automate model serving and integration, packaging and deploying traditional ML models to Vespa and/or Triton.
• Close the deployment loop by automating model deployments, such as building a GitHub Action triggered by a Vertex AI training pipeline.
• Build automated quality and evaluation gates, including data quality checks in BigQuery and model performance evaluation against baselines.
• Establish and continuously improve the standards, quality, and governance of the complete ML model lifecycle.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in GCP/Vertex AI (or equivalents like SageMaker), Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Proven experience building robust CI/CD and automation pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
• Understanding of ML workflows and concepts (training, evaluation, inference) for debugging pipelines and building meaningful quality gates.
• Strong service mindset, excellent communication, and the ability to act as a bridge between Data Science and Infrastructure.
• Willingness to learn and master new technologies and concepts.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ML serving platforms like Vespa search engine or NVIDIA Triton and model formats like ONNX.
