Junior Information Security Officer (IT)

TL;DR

Junior Information Security Officer (Cybersecurity): Supporting ISMS governance, security projects, risk and vendor assessments, and audit activities to strengthen cybersecurity posture. Focus on developing expertise in information security frameworks, compliance, and security awareness initiatives.

Location: Nootdorp, Netherlands with hybrid work format allowing 2 days per week remote work.

What you will do

• Support ISMS governance and the PDCA cycle.
• Contribute to security projects and conduct supplier security reviews.
• Assist in risk and vendor assessment activities.
• Support internal audit activities and track audit findings.
• Maintain and update security documentation and reporting metrics.
• Assist in security awareness initiatives and training programs.

Requirements

• HBO-level degree in IT, Security, or related field with 1–3 years relevant experience.
• Basic knowledge of ISO 27001 and NIST frameworks.
• Willingness to acquire certifications such as CISA or CISSP within 12 months.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent English language skills (written and oral).
• Experience with internal audit processes and compliance frameworks is a plus.
