What you will do

  • Maintain an active presence across community platforms (Reddit, Discord, social media) by participating in daily conversations and replying to players.
  • Monitor community conversations and sentiment to identify trends or issues, ensuring a welcoming environment and escalating concerns.
  • Drive community engagement through creative initiatives, proposing ideas for contests and activities.
  • Create and publish engagement-driven social media posts with creative ideas and simple assets/copy.
  • Amplify user-generated content by encouraging sharing and supporting its visibility across platforms.
  • Prepare, publish, and maintain clear player-facing communication related to live updates, patches, and events.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the game and its development to ensure accurate player-facing communication.
  • Collaborate with development, publishing, and other teams, sharing relevant community insights.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in community management and social media within the video game industry, with an understanding of player communities.
  • Familiarity with social media and community platforms (Reddit, Discord, Instagram, Facebook, X).
  • Basic understanding of live game environments and player communication (updates, patches, events).
  • Good written English skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and naturally.
  • Ability to observe, organize, and summarize information, translating discussions into clear player-readable messages.
  • Comfort working in a hands-on, execution-focused role with daily interaction and fast context switching.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience with community-related work or activities (e.g., moderation, fan communities).
  • A portfolio or examples of previous community-related initiatives.
  • Basic ability to prepare simple visual assets for social or community use.
  • Experience using social media publishing or scheduling tools, with basic familiarity with analytics.
