Junior Community Manager (Game Development)

What you will do

• Maintain an active presence across Reddit, Discord, social media, and other community platforms.
• Monitor player conversations and sentiment, identify trends and issues, maintain a welcoming environment, and escalate concerns with context.
• Propose and help execute community contests, activities, and other engagement initiatives.
• Create and publish social media and community content, including copy and simple visual assets.
• Encourage, identify, and amplify user-generated content in line with events and activations.
• Communicate live updates, patches, hotfixes, events, and known issues while collaborating with development and publishing teams.

Requirements

• Strong interest in community management, social media, and player communities within the video game industry.
• Familiarity with Reddit, Discord, Instagram, Facebook, X, and social media publishing or scheduling tools.
• Basic understanding of live game environments, patches, updates, events, and player communication.
• Good written English skills for clear and natural communication with players.
• Previous community-related experience, such as moderation, fan communities, student projects, or personal initiatives, supported by a portfolio or examples.
• Ability to organize and summarize information, switch context quickly, and handle reactive operational tasks.

Nice to have

• Basic ability to create screenshots, short clips, and lightweight visual assets.
• Basic familiarity with analytics or performance tracking.
