Software Engineer (DRaaS): Designs, develops, and operates mission-critical processing services, ensuring seamless, secure, and compliant data flow between edge devices and the Pure1 cloud platform with an accent on scalability, resilience, and security. Focus on continuous innovation by experimenting with new technologies, platform ecosystems, and architectural patterns to improve system performance and cost-effectiveness.

Location: Expected to work from the Prague, Czechia office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end design, development, and operation of mission-critical processing services.
• Partner with Product and Architecture teams to translate complex requirements into scalable, resilient architectural designs.
• Drive continuous innovation by experimenting with new technologies, platform ecosystems, and architectural patterns.
• Maintain a quality-first mindset throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
• Lead the resolution of complex inter-operability issues between new and existing system components.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in architecting, implementing, and testing various product components within large-scale, complex distributed systems.
• Proficiency in a modern backend programming language (Java, Kotlin).
• Understanding of distributed systems principles, networking infrastructure, and Linux operating environments.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and proficiency with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• A proven track record of thriving in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment.
