What you will do
- Own and evolve the backend architecture for a large-scale software platform.
- Work across multiple teams to ensure alignment and scalability.
- Set technical direction and contribute to key design decisions.
- Write high-quality, maintainable code in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Design and optimise CI/CD pipelines, improving automation, observability, and release processes.
- Mentor and coach engineers to raise the overall bar for backend development.
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in backend or platform engineering roles, with recent experience at senior level.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Node.js and TypeScript in production environments.
- Strong experience designing and deploying microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Proven experience with AWS (EKS, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, Terraform).
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps principles, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience leading or influencing technical direction across multiple teams.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with frontend technologies (React, TypeScript).
