What you will do

• Lead, manage, and mentor a diverse QA organization within the Distro team.
• Own the Distro Quality Strategy and quality signals, accounting for staffing constraints and distributable applications.
• Drive prioritization and execution in a dynamic operating model, supporting testing, release validation, and live support.
• Guide release readiness and provide cross-pod oversight, collaborating with programming, product, and stakeholder teams.
• Communicate clearly and effectively across teams and stakeholders, explaining priority shifts, risk trade-offs, and release decisions.
• Remain technically capable and hands-on when required, supporting testing or releases during coverage gaps.

Requirements

• Proven senior experience leading QA teams with mixed skill sets and seniority.
• Proven strong understanding of testing and releasing both backend services and distributable applications.
• Exceptional prioritization and operational judgment in fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders and low tolerance for risk.
• Experience supporting release management activities, making informed decisions around test scope, release readiness, and risk acceptance.
• Solid technical foundation in modern QA practices, including test automation, CI/CD integration, testability, and quality metrics.
• Strong communication skills.
