Location: Based in Menlo Park, CA office, with in-person attendance expected at least 4 days per week.
Salary: $217,000 - $255,000 USD (Menlo Park, CA)

What you will do
- Lead a team focused on building Legend’s next-generation trading experiences for web and desktop.
- Set and communicate a clear technical direction aligned with product strategy, holding a high bar for quality, performance, and maintainability as the product scales.
- Partner cross-functionally with design, product, AI, and infrastructure teams to enhance the core product experience.
- Enable expansion across new asset types, account structures, and geographies.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive team environment.
- Aid in architectural decisions and foster a culture of high-quality code and engineering processes.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 2 years of engineering management experience leading product-focused engineering teams.
- Strong foundation in modern web engineering with deep experience in technologies such as React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js.
- Deep understanding of web architecture and best practices for building modular, scalable systems within large, evolving codebases.
- Proven ability to grow engineers across levels, through mentorship, feedback, and clear expectations that raise technical rigor and ownership.
- An execution-focused mindset with a strong passion for building and leading product-focused teams.
