TL;DR

Transactions Consultant (Engineering): Supporting technical due diligence engagements for renewable energy, conventional generation, oil & gas, and digital infrastructure assets with an accent on data collection, technical assessment reporting, and risk evaluation. Focus on collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver actionable insights for lenders and investors while managing complex project lifecycles.

Location: Must be based in or able to work from Markham, ON, Canada (Hybrid role).

Salary: $104,888 - $154,888 CAD

What you will do

  • Conduct technical due diligence for renewable energy, conventional generation, and infrastructure assets.
  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize data to develop comprehensive technical assessment reports.
  • Participate in site visits and conduct detailed performance and reliability assessments.
  • Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, consultants, and financial analysts.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships while managing project expectations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of consulting tools, techniques, and knowledge bases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in a business or consulting environment.
  • Strong understanding of conventional and renewable energy technologies (e.g., solar, wind, battery storage).
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical analyses into professional reports and presentations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and advanced PC literacy.
  • Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements including background checks.

Nice to have

  • Engineering degree or MBA.
  • Experience with plant engineering, design, and inspection processes.
  • Knowledge of capital project assessments and financial modeling.
  • Professional certifications relevant to the energy or consulting sectors.
