TL;DR

Technical Support Engineer (Fintech): Providing comprehensive Level 2 technical support across business applications, services, and infrastructure, with an accent on troubleshooting, incident management, and collaboration with software engineering teams. Focus on identifying and resolving root causes, enhancing support workflows, and ensuring 24/7 system reliability through on-call rotations.

Location: Hybrid, 4 days in the office in Madrid, Spain, 1 day working from home.

What you will do

  • Troubleshoot applications, services, and infrastructure issues reported by end-users.
  • Verify, document, and escalate issues and bugs for accurate tracking.
  • Manage incidents, including communication with stakeholders and coordination with development teams.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineering teams to establish support workflows and monitoring plans.
  • Perform (out of hours) on-call rotation to address high-severity incidents and critical issues.
  • Work with software development engineers to enhance processes and conduct code reviews.

Requirements

  • Experience providing Level 2 (L2) support in a tech-driven business environment.
  • Proficient problem-solving and strong technical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Software development experience, particularly with Python.
  • Strong desire to identify and resolve root causes, systematically preventing issues from recurring.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • English proficiency is required.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with AWS and/or Google Cloud, and Linux administration.
  • Knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese.
  • Salesforce Administration, Agile methodologies, Continuous Integration, Frontend Development (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript), PostgreSQL, and Observability.
