What you will do

• Define standards for automated testing across Java microservices and Python-based AWS Lambda functions.
• Enable teams to maintain a robust microservices testing strategy covering unit, component, contract, and end-to-end tests.
• Support engineers in running containerized services locally (e.g., Podman, Dev Containers) to reduce integration issues.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and engineers to embed quality early and enhance CI/CD pipelines.
• Build and maintain automated tests using Java (JUnit, Rest-Assured), Pact, and occasionally tools like Selenium, Cypress, and Playwright.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines to support trunk-based development and explore new tools for improved coverage.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Java development and test automation.
• In-depth knowledge of microservices testing strategies.
• Proficiency with AWS platform, including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and trunk-based development.
• Experience with performance testing large distributed applications, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Exposure to advanced testing tools like Pact, Rest-Assured, Mockito, Localstack, service resilience concepts, and observability.
