Data Engineer

TL;DR

Data Engineer: Designing, developing, and implementing robust data and database solutions with an accent on optimal data pipeline architecture, ETL processes, and data system maintenance. Focus on building scalable data infrastructure, optimizing data delivery, and ensuring data integrity for predictive analysis and business intelligence.

Location: Remote (United States only), with flex days in the office for New York City-based employees.

Salary: $140,000–$155,000 (annual, for NYC-based applicants)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement data and database solutions.
• Build and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
• Support and maintain data and database systems.
• Build infrastructure for ETL from diverse sources using Postgres and Python.
• Prepare data for predictive analysis and identify automation opportunities.
• Partner with BI & Finance teams for data-related issues.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in a Data Engineer role.
• Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases, including query optimizations.
• Experience with Data Transformations & Integrity testing using test-driven development.
• Proficiency in object-oriented scripting languages such as Python (or Java, C++).
• Prior experience with Amazon AWS RDS & Aurora.
• Demonstrated experience with a DAG-based orchestration tool (e.g., Apache Airflow, Dagster).
• Working knowledge of Docker, Git & SDLC Methodologies.
• Knowledge of non-SQL data sources (JSON, MongoDB, APIs) and data security (HIPAA).
• Must be based in the United States.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
