Principal Machine Learning Engineer (AI)

TL;DR

Principal Machine Learning Engineer (AI): Working on data labeling and classification on large scale multi modal Copilot data, building secure, compliant data-labeling pipelines. Focus on operationalizing prompted classifiers at scale and building evaluation loops.

Location: Must work from a designated hirify.global office at least four days a week if they live within 50 miles (U.S.) or 25 miles (non-U.S.) of that location.

Salary: USD $139,900 – $274,800 per year (USD $188,000 – $304,200 per year in the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area)

What you will do

• Build evaluation loops and publish dashboards/SLOs.
• Generalize machine learning (ML) solutions into repeatable frameworks.
• Operationalize prompted classifiers at scale, including orchestration, autoscaling, and monitoring.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define schemas, access patterns, and governance.
• Write efficient, readable, extensible code and model pipelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• 7+ years’ experience writing production-quality Python or Java or Scala code.
• 5+ years’ experience in distributed systems design and implementation of large scale data processing systems.
• 3+ years’ experience building ML data pipelines using at least one of AML, Promptflow, Langchain or LangGraph.
• Demonstrated interest in Responsible AI.
• Experience prompting, evaluating, and working with large language models.
