Junior Data Scientist (Fintech): Analyzing customer data to detect financial risks and suspicious patterns with an accent on optimizing CDD models and applying advanced analytics methodologies. Focus on promoting data-driven approaches and implementing data science in various business activities, all within an 18-month early career program.

Location: Hybrid in Utrecht, Netherlands. Must be currently living in the Netherlands. Onsite availability in Utrecht is mandatory for 2nd interviews and every Friday afternoon.

Salary: Gross monthly salary between EUR 3,447 and EUR 4,923.

What you will do

• Analyze customer data to identify potential risks and suspicious patterns.
• Optimize current CDD models and use advanced analytics to detect risks.
• Calculate risk scores for customers in the Retail NL portfolio.
• Contribute to the D&A Community, sharing insights and best practices.
• Promote data-driven approaches and advocate for data science implementation.
• Develop deep expertise in data science over an 18-month Early Career program.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or doctorate in Data Science, Econometrics, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar.
• 0-2 years of work experience.
• Currently living in the Netherlands.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to translate quantitative analysis.
• Knowledge of Python (PySpark) and/or SQL.
• Excellent command of the English language (C1).
