TL;DR

Senior Applied Scientist (AI): Developing machine-learned models to predict user interaction with ads on search results pages, focusing on training data, feature engineering, model development (neural nets, linear models, decision trees), and offline/online evaluation. Focus on algorithmic improvements to online and offline systems to enhance user and advertiser experience and increase revenue for Bing ads.

Location: Expected to work from the office at least four days per week if living within a 50-mile commute of a designated hirify.global office in the U.S.

Salary: USD $119,800 – $234,700 per year (USD $158,400 – $258,000 per year within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years related experience (e.g., statistics predictive analytics, research).
• OR Master’s Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research).
• OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research).
• Proficient problem solving and data analysis skills.
• Proficient software design and development skills/experience.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research).
• OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research).
• Research experience (publications) in the following areas: statistical machine learning, deep learning, data mining, causal inference, information retrieval, and Bayesian inference.
• 2+ years of experience in any of the following areas: statistical machine learning, deep learning, data mining, causal inference, information retrieval, game theory, mechanism design, optimization and Bayesian inference.
