Strategy & Operations Senior Manager, Security & Risk Operations (AI, Robotics): Leading strategic physical and information security initiatives for hirify.global with an accent on mitigating emerging risks in cutting-edge research areas like robotics and AI. Focus on developing innovative security solutions, managing complex cross-functional programs, and advising senior leadership on critical security and risk management issues.

Location: Must be based in Mountain View, California, US, with regular travel throughout the Americas and sometimes EMEA.

Salary: $153,000–$227,000 + bonus + equity + benefits

What you will do

  • Lead strategic evaluation and implementation of physical and information security programs, especially in robotics and science.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks using creative techniques and AI tools to enhance security.
  • Build strong relationships with Google security teams and various internal teams to ensure effective security delivery.
  • Advise senior leaders on complex security and risk management, influencing stakeholders with competing objectives.
  • Manage high-priority security incidents in partnership with Security & Privacy and Google.
  • Partner on managing system vulnerabilities, establishing new security controls, and reducing risks.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in security and risk management, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional security programs.
  • Strategic problem-solver thriving in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Ability to operate autonomously and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent program-management skills delivering complex projects at scale.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, briefing complex concepts to senior leaders.
  • Curiosity and ability to use AI tools effectively, with awareness of responsible use and limitations.

Nice to have

  • Experience in government and/or tech.
  • Relevant Information Security certifications (CISM, CISSP or comparable).
  • Familiarity with leading security standards (ISO 27001, NIST frameworks).
