TL;DR

Distinguished Scientist (AI): Defining and driving the technical vision for long-horizon, supervised agentic systems in real estate with an accent on agent architectures, memory frameworks, and learning strategies. Focus on designing and advancing LLM post-training and evaluation methods, architecting systems with persistent memory and multi-agent collaboration, and translating heterogeneous data into agent-ready knowledge.

Location: Remote (USA). U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions. State-specific salary ranges apply.

Salary: $257,100.00 - $432,300.00 annually

Company

hirify.global is the most-visited real estate platform in the U.S., focused on reimagining how people move through the real estate market by helping them navigate buying, selling, financing, and renting.

What you will do

  • Own the end-to-end research and technical strategy for long-horizon agentic experiences across shopping, financing, and professional workflows.
  • Design and advance LLM post-training and evaluation methods (e.g., SFT, preference learning, RLHF/RLAIF, long-context modeling) for supervised, high-stakes journeys.
  • Architect systems combining persistent memory, tool use, and multi-agent collaboration for consistent, context-rich guidance.
  • Translate hirify.global’s heterogeneous data into agent-ready knowledge and signals, partnering with data and platform teams.
  • Collaborate with product and design to define success metrics, evaluation frameworks, and experiment plans for agentic experiences.
  • Operate as a senior IC with the option to lead a small pod and mentor principal-level talent.

Requirements

  • PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent experience—with emphasis in foundational LLMs, agentic AI, reinforcement learning, AI planning, or natural language processing.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying large-scale AI systems, including at least several years focused on agent-based systems, multi-agent collaboration, or long-horizon conversational assistants.
  • Deep, current expertise in generative and agentic AI, including multimodal foundation models, transformers, and advanced reasoning models.
  • Track record of leading ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives from concept to production.
  • Demonstrated impact in the research community through publications at top venues or widely used open-source contributions.
  • Experience designing evaluation and supervision frameworks for long-horizon agents in regulated or high-stakes domains, emphasizing safety, fairness, and trust.
  • Strong technical leadership skills, including mentoring senior scientists and engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex ideas for executives, cross-functional partners, and external audiences.

Culture & Benefits

  • Remote-first model ("Cloud HQ") built on trust and clear systems.
  • Flexibility in work location.
  • Highly collaborative environment.
  • Opportunity to define how AI agents support people and professionals.
  • Recognized as a "FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For®" and "PEOPLE Companies That Care®".
  • Competitive base salary and equity awards based on experience, performance, and location.
