TL;DR

Support Engineer (Postgres): Providing world-class developer support for users encountering issues or seeking guidance with the hirify.global platform, with an accent on timely responses, issue triage, and identifying efficiency improvements. Focus on reproducing issues, creating test cases, and improving test coverage while monitoring feedback channels.

Location: Fully Remote (Global). Preference for candidates in North or South America timezones for weekend shifts (16:00-02:00 UTC).

hirify.global is a Postgres development platform providing a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search.

What you will do

  • Provide initial and timely responses to all support cases for a variety of topics.
  • Triage support cases, directing users to resources or escalating to technical/business teams.
  • Monitor multiple feedback channels, including GitHub Issues & Discussions.
  • Identify where internal tooling might be developed to improve support efficiency.
  • Reproduce issues, create test cases, and improve test coverage.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience providing developer support to technical customers.
  • Proficiency in SQL (ideally PostgreSQL).
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (C1).
  • Skilled in using Linux/Unix operating systems and the command line.
  • Experienced working with GitHub Issues and Discussions.

Nice to have

  • Database administration experience.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue, and Svelte and some experience with Node.js.
  • Degree in Computer Science.
