What you will do

• Serve as the primary interface between the mission team, the flight software team, and the payload provider.
• Translate and refine system-level requirements into detailed software subsystem requirements.
• Support the mission managers and software team leads in planning, coordinating, and tracking software-related work packages.
• Lead the software development and integration of payload software, ensuring compatibility and functional alignment with the overall system.
• Define and execute verification strategies to ensure software requirements are met.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in requirements engineering, traceability, and compliance processes.

Requirements

• Experience in embedded software engineering, ideally in aerospace or related high-reliability domains.
• Experience in programming with C and Python (or similar languages), as well as real-time operating systems and embedded Linux.
• Knowledge of satellite subsystems, as well as satellite payloads and their operational constraints.
• Demonstrated experience in working with requirements: elicitation, flow-down, verification, and traceability.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with flight software development and verification.
• Prior work on commercial space missions.
• Knowledge of ECSS standards and best practices (e.g., ECSS-E-ST-40, ECSS-Q-ST-80, etc.).
