Backend Engineer (PHP)

TL;DR

Backend Engineer (PHP, Laravel): Developing functionality for disciplines in a proprietary LMS and improving the payment ecosystem, including developing new functionality for managing user subscriptions and migrating balances. Focus on solving infrastructure problems and optimizing bottlenecks in the system, including setting up monitoring and logging.

What you will do

• Develop functionality for disciplines in the proprietary LMS.
• Improve the payment ecosystem by developing new functionality for managing user subscriptions.
• Migrate balances from the customer profile to the child's profile.
• Develop the admin panel and implement tools to increase the efficiency of operational processes.
• Find and resolve infrastructure problems.
• Optimize bottlenecks in the system and set up monitoring and logging.

Requirements

• 1.5+ years of experience in backend development.
• Experience with PHP 8 (OOP, PHPUnit).
• Experience with Laravel 7+ (or experience with other frameworks).
• Experience with Linux.
• Knowledge of Git, OOP, Design Patterns.

Nice to have

• Experience with Queues, background processing.
• Experience with REST APIs.
• Ability to cover new code with unit tests (test cases, coverage management).
• Experience with CI/CD.
• Knowledge of other programming languages (GoLang, Python, Java, NodeJS, etc).
• Experience with GCP, AWS, Digitalocean, Kubernetes/Helm, Istio.
