Location: Poland, Warsaw
Technologies you will work with: DRBD, Ceph, S3; LXC, KVM; Bacula; GitLab CI/CD; DOcker, Podman, conainerd; Ngingx, PHP, Golang, NodeJS; Kubernetes; SAltStack, Ansible; PostgeSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, ClickHouse; RabbitMQ, Kafka; Redis, Memcached.
Responsibilities:
- administer and monitor Unix‑like systems (primarily Debian/Ubuntu);
- coordinate tasks with developers and other sysadmins;
- maintain infrastructure across local and remote environments;
- clearly define task scope and complexity for managers and clients;
- adopt new technologies and implement automation to simplify infrastructure maintenance;
- ensure system security and reliability;
- participate in 24/7 monitoring shifts (rotations are coordinated with the team).
Required qualifications:
- degree in Computer Science or a related field;
- strong understanding of Linux systems and networking;
- experience in system administration (Debian, Ubuntu);
- ability to collaborate effectively with developers, sysadmins, and project managers;
- skill in explaining technical details to non‑technical stakeholders;
- willingness to learn new technologies and approaches;
- teamwork skills;
- fluent English (spoken and written);
- responsibility and commitment to the project.
Nice‑to‑have (a big plus)
- knowledge of protocols: OpenVPN, IMAP, SMTP, LDAP, DNS, TCP/IP, OSPF;
- understanding of TLS/x509 certificates and encryption basics;
- hands‑on experience deploying Kubernetes on bare‑metal environments;
- experience with configuration management tools (SaltStack/Ansible);
- skills in using monitoring and logging tools;
- familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD);
- experience with distributed systems (Corosync, Pacemaker);
- understanding of software‑defined networking solutions;
- Russian language skills.
