What you will do

• Ensure solutions meet business requirements, adhere to quality standards, and deliver value within cost constraints.
• Provide input into project and resource plans, supporting business case development, and identifying and resolving issues and risks.
• Communicate solution designs, key decisions, and approaches clearly to stakeholders and governance forums.
• Oversee solution development and engage in implementation activities, surveying the external market for insights and vendor solutions.
• Conduct analysis of technology alternatives, perform gap analyses, and develop proof-of-concepts for new solutions.
• Retain accountability for architecture and design throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance and managing key decision documents.

Requirements

• Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven ability to design and build complex, cloud-hosted data platforms on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps and DevSecOps best practices, including Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD.
• Experience integrating cloud systems and third-party services (IaaS, SaaS/DBaaS such as Snowflake, MongoDB Atlas).
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals (networking, OS concepts, security protocols) and secure system design.
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++) and modern development methodologies (TDD, Agile).
