What you will do

• Build foundational services that enable large organizations to run on hirify.global.
• Design data models and architect high-performance services in Go.
• Optimize the PostgreSQL layer and ensure service resilience within the Kubernetes ecosystem.
• Take ownership of the operational excellence of services, using tools like Jaeger, Sentry, and Kibana to troubleshoot complex distributed traces.
• Expand domain knowledge and deliver change through AI tooling like OpenCode.

Requirements

• This position may require access to information protected under U.S. export control laws
• Senior-level backend expertise with 5+ years of experience building and scaling production-grade applications.
• Proven experience designing scalable, maintainable, and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
• Comfortable navigating a React/TypeScript codebase to build or improve UI components.
• Experience with SQL, including schema design and query optimization.
• Experience using distributed tracing (Jaeger), error tracking (Sentry), and log analysis (Kibana/Elasticsearch) to debug production issues.
• Practical experience deploying and managing services in Kubernetes and Docker.
• Comfortable participating in an on-call rotation.

Nice to have

• Deep proficiency in a typed language like Go, PHP, Rust, or Typescript for APIs.
