Information Security Consultant (Cybersecurity)

Information Security Consultant (Cybersecurity): Designing and implementing solutions to address security challenges and streamline incident response, focusing on building and maintaining resilient logging, data pipeline, and SOAR platforms. Focus on enhancing detection, response, and overall security posture through collaboration with the Security Operations Center and Security Intelligence teams.

Location: Hybrid – Springfield, MA

Salary Range: $110,400-$144,900

What you will do

• Deploy, manage, and optimize centralized logging tools, data pipeline, and SOAR platforms at scale.
• Ensure robust visibility and rapid response across the organization.
• Work with internal customers and key stakeholders such as the Security Operations Center to onboard logs.
• Manipulate data, create playbooks, write scripts, and configure integrations.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to the platforms, creating, responding to, and resolving alerts, onboarding and parsing data.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree
• 5+ years of experience in information technology field
• 1+ years experience with centralized logging, SIEM, Data pipeline, and SOAR platforms
• Weekly on-call duties assigned based on team rotation (currently once every 10 weeks)

Nice to have

• Maintaining SIEM and data pipeline platform stability.
• Working knowledge of Terraform, GitHub, Jenkins, Amazon Machine Image (AMI) updates.
• Experience with data manipulation and data science.
• Expertise with regular expressions.
• Experience with scripting languages, programming in JSON, JavaScript, python, and bash.
• Knowledge of information security systems such as firewalls, intrusion detection, antivirus, data loss protection, vulnerability scanning, Active Directory, and LDAP.
