What you will do
- Provide management, coaching, and mentorship to maximize team health, effectiveness, and career growth.
- Partner with product and other teams to plan and develop roadmaps for maximum impact.
- Ensure high standards of technical development for observability, stability, scalability, security, performance, and cost effectiveness.
- Guide the team on modern software development best practices and technical direction while providing hands-on development.
- Successfully estimate and deliver large projects and architectural implementations.
- Ensure adherence to established budgets for hosting, software, and consulting expenditures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, software engineering, technical writing, or equivalent experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development or commensurate skills.
- Experience developing enterprise platforms and/or consumer web applications using Agile and Lean methodologies.
- Team leadership experience and strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing software development lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, Serverless, event-driven architecture, microservices, JavaScript, Node.js, Java or Python, and frameworks such as React or VUE.js.
- Knowledge of data systems including SQL/RDB, NoSQL, and messaging queues.
- Working experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
