Staff Software Engineer

What you will do

• Design, build, deliver, and own full lifecycle software development from inception to production.
• Drive and implement complex changes involving multiple components and product features.
• Ensure quality changes, including automated tests, metrics, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with team members and guide product feature reviews in alignment with product roadmaps.
• Build components and processes used by others, and execution plans based on user data and market insight.
• Participate in and lead projects with technical ambiguity, contributing to comprehensive success criteria and mentoring others.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development engineering experience.
• Solid understanding of computer science and engineering fundamentals.
• Experience working with distributed systems.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C#, Java, C, C++, Python, SQL, or Scala.
• Familiarity with software development tools and version control systems (Git, Perforce).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Comfortable working on an agile, distributed team across multiple time zones and continents.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with database engines (Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres, Aerospike, Vertica, Redis).
• Experience building microservices.
• Familiarity with operating systems, cloud technologies, Kubernetes, or Kafka.
