Salary: $172,800 - $236,246 USD (for US-based applicants), $226,616 - $247,857 CAD (for Toronto and Vancouver, Canada), $211,508 - $231,333 CAD (for other locations in Canada) + equity + benefits.

What you will do

• Translate emerging regulatory trends into actionable business executions across Quora and Poe.
• Build and manage scalable regulatory compliance programs across multiple jurisdictions.
• Partner with cross-functional technical teams to design systems and AI tooling for automated compliance.
• Design, implement, and scale legal policies, processes, and playbooks using AI to streamline workflows.
• Build and improve AI-based contract automation and manage contract lifecycle.
• Project manage litigation timelines and deliverables.

Requirements

• Availability for meetings and impromptu communication during Quora's coordination hours (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time).
• 8-10+ years of progressive experience in legal operations, regulatory operations, or product/legal policy compliance, with at least 3 years in legal department operations.
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and scaling legal policies, processes, technology workflows, and governance frameworks.
• Strong project management skills, including designing and operationalizing large-scale regulatory compliance workstreams.
• Strong technology aptitude with project management tools, database management, and legal technology, including AI-focused tools and contract lifecycle management systems.
• Experience building and scaling contract and procurement processes.

Nice to have

• Experience negotiating, drafting, and advising clients on commercial contracts.
• Experience working with global technology companies.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for online platforms, social media, and AI products.
• Experience program managing SOC2 compliance efforts.
