Location: Redmond, United States. Employees who live within a 50-mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. are expected to work from the office at least four days per week.

Salary: USD $119,800 – $234,700 per year (U.S. general) or USD $158,400 – $258,000 per year (San Francisco Bay/New York City).

What you will do

• Innovate around methods and capabilities for online A/B experimentation.
• Define, build, and track success metrics for Bing customer satisfaction and retention.
• Develop strategies for understanding correlations between key Bing metrics and defining overall ship decision criteria.
• Understand A/B online experiments and user engagement to produce actionable conclusions.
• Develop tools to help analyze the movement of metrics for feature teams.

Requirements

• Doctorate with 1+ year, Master’s with 3+ years, or Bachelor’s with 5+ years of data-science experience.
• Experience with SQL-like query languages.
• Hands-on design and problem-solving skills with one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, C#, or C++.
• Ability to work independently, influence others, and solid communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Doctorate with 3+ years, Master's with 5+ years, or Bachelor's with 7+ years of data-science experience.
• Familiarity with search engines and dealing with online instrumentation.
• Experience with large datasets and interest in consumer online search behaviors.
• Experience with building machine learning models on large scale data.
