Salary: $154,500 - $224,540 a year (US National). For Toronto, the range is $154,500 - $184,713 a year.

What you will do

• Build new services, features, and user experiences from scratch, evolving prototypes into production-ready systems.
• Transform loosely defined problem spaces into clear technical and architectural approaches.
• Partner with product and design, participating in customer discovery and shaping product direction.
• Experiment rapidly, building POCs and validating ideas quickly based on customer feedback.
• Design and build scalable systems, balancing speed with long-term maintainability.
• Contribute to architectural discussions, coding standards, and mentoring other engineers.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, particularly building new (0→1) products or highly exploratory features.
• Strong customer empathy and interest in learning directly from users.
• Fluency in full-stack development with hands-on experience in Python/Django, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and PostgreSQL.
• Solid understanding of system design, APIs, performance, and scalable architecture.
• Comfort working with high ambiguity and balancing speed vs. quality.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate across disciplines.
