What you will do

• Create, deliver, maintain, and support components of the UK cloud platforms, ensuring they meet technical standards and remain securely configured.
• Make significant contributions to UK infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipeline repositories.
• Contribute to technical standards, solutions, and design documentation.
• Discover and remove technical debt as part of a continuous improvement work ethic.
• Work with the Platform Lead to contribute to the roadmap of the UK cloud platforms.
• Monitor market trends and best practices relating to DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud services.

Requirements

• In-depth technical knowledge of the Azure cloud platform, including compute, storage, and network services.
• Proficiency in designing, deploying, and maintaining Azure infrastructure using version-controlled infrastructure as code deployments.
• Expertise in writing and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines defined in source control.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to efficiently manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Ability to drive DevSecOps principles and culture across the wider IT team.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Azure services like API Management, App Service, Entra ID, App Gateway / Front Door, Messaging Services (Event Hub / Service Bus), and AI services.
• Terraform experience.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Auth0, Ansible, PowerShell, or Databricks.
