TL;DR

Location: Hybrid in Toronto, Canada

Salary: CAD $63,394.00 - 99,112.48 annually

What you will do

  • Develop, draft, edit, and distribute internal communications content for global employees, including newsletters and executive messages.
  • Plan and execute key Toronto-based internal events like Town Halls and the global company kick-off.
  • Coordinate Kobo’s presence at key Toronto events, including local tech meetups and community initiatives.
  • Assist in coordinating executive speaking engagements, including scheduling and material preparation.
  • Support the development and distribution of corporate communications materials.
  • Assist the Head of Corporate Communications during crisis situations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, internal communications, or public relations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to craft engaging narratives.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in creating compelling content for various internal and external channels.
  • Must be able to work in a hybrid model based out of the Toronto office.

Nice to have

  • Experience with event coordination.
  • Proven track record in fostering employee engagement within a hybrid or flexible work environment.
  • Familiarity with media monitoring tools, PR software, and internal communication platforms.
  • A passion for digital reading, technology, and Kobo's mission.
