Business Analyst (Fintech)

Location: This role is remote within Canada.

Salary: CA$62,000 to CA$78,000

What you will do

• Drive discussions with business stakeholders to understand their problems and requirements.
• Propose solutions that meet business needs and requirements in collaboration with technical team members.
• Manage stakeholder expectations by communicating progress and timelines on projects.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications for technical teams.
• Evaluate existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Oversee testing activities, including partnering with business team members to document test cases and carry out UAT activities.

Requirements

• Experience gathering and consolidating requirements from business stakeholders.
• Proficient in the creation and presentation of requirements documentation.
• Experience translating business requirements into working solutions.
• Experience in building relationships, influencing, and working closely with stakeholders to determine acceptable solutions.
• Proven track record of managing projects and delivering on time.
• Experience working directly with technical teams.

Nice to have

• Prior project management experience.
• Experience in agile methodologies, familiarity with Jira, Confluence.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, or another major cloud provider such as AWS.
• Working knowledge of documentation standards such as BPMN and UML.
