English Adaptation Specialist (Game Development): Adapting Polish in-game content, including dialogue and on-screen text, into idiomatic and stylized English with an accent on maintaining quality, consistency, and cultural appropriateness across multiple game franchises. Focus on reviewing and debugging game content prior to release and contributing to terminology databases.

Location: Hybrid (primarily from Warsaw, Poland, with a minimum of 3 days a week in the studio). Relocation to Poland is supported.

What you will do

• Adapt Polish source content into fully idiomatic and stylized English for all types of in-game text, including dialogue and on-screen assets.
• Edit and polish all in-game text to elevate the quality of the final product.
• Add content to established stylization, terminology, and pronunciation databases and guides.
• Review English game content for consistency, correctness, completeness, and quality prior to release.
• Debug English game content based on own reviews or reported bugs.

Requirements

• Native user of the English language.
• Experience in Polish to English translation or English writing/copyediting/editorial.
• University degree or significant coursework in Slavic Languages and Literature or Area Studies (emphasis on Poland/Polish considered a plus).
• Thorough understanding of the Polish language and culture, including its many spoken and written varieties, slangs, and specialized vocabulary.
• Far-reaching familiarity with and ease in using English, with ability to render various dialects/vernaculars and styles.
• Broad computer literacy (advanced Excel skills considered a plus).
• Must be able to work primarily from the Warsaw studio for a minimum of 3 days a week.
